
Training Terms and Conditions
Eligibility & Practice Experience
This training is designed for qualified yoga teachers and recent graduates of a foundational yoga teacher training who wish to deepen their skills in one-to-one yoga teaching.
Participants must have successfully completed a recognised foundational yoga teacher training prior to attending this course.
As this training is intended to build upon foundational teaching skills, participants should feel comfortable with basic yoga teaching principles, class planning, and professional conduct.
A pre-course assessment, application form, or conversation may be required to ensure the course is suitable for each participant.
If additional preparation is recommended before joining the training, this will be discussed individually.
Booking & Payment
A non-refundable deposit of £150 is required to secure a place on the training.
Payment plans may be available upon request.
The remaining balance must be paid no later than 14 days before the training start date.
Places are confirmed only once the deposit has been received and the application process has been completed.
The Art of Presence Teacher Training reserves the right to refuse or withdraw a place if payment deadlines are not respected or if the training is deemed unsuitable for the participant.
Course Confirmation & Minimum Numbers
In order for the training to run, a minimum number of participants is required.
The decision to proceed with the training will be confirmed no later than 30 days before the start date, in line with venue cancellation requirements.
If the minimum number of participants is not reached by this date, The Art of Presence Teacher Training reserves the right to:
• Postpone the training to a later date; or
• Cancel the training and issue a full refund of all payments received.
This ensures fairness to participants and allows venue and administrative commitments to be managed responsibly.
Course Fees
Course fees include:
• 28 contact hours of face-to-face training and assessment
• 12 non-contact hours including independent reading, teaching practice, class planning, assignments, and self-study
• Training manual and course materials
• Supporting resources and assignments
• Teaching practice and feedback
Course fees do not include:
• Travel
• Accommodation
• Food and beverages outside those provided during training
• Insurance or professional membership fees
Attendance & Course Completion
Participants are required to attend 100% of the contact hours in order to complete the training and receive certification.
The course includes:
• Practical participation
• Peer teaching
• Observation exercises
• Case study work
• Class planning assignments
• Practice teaching between training weekends
• Independent reading and self-study
Participants are expected to maintain a consistent personal yoga practice throughout the duration of the course.
In exceptional circumstances, extensions may be considered at the discretion of the trainer.
Additional fees may apply for reassessment or resubmission of assignments if required.
Scope of Practice
This training does not qualify participants to diagnose, treat, prescribe for, or provide medical advice regarding any health condition.
Participants are expected to work within their professional scope of practice and to refer students to appropriate healthcare professionals where necessary.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
A non-refundable deposit of £150 is required to secure a place on the training.
If a participant cancels more than 30 days before the training start date, any payments made beyond the deposit will be refunded.
If a participant cancels within 30 days of the training start date, all payments become non-refundable.
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email.
Places may not be transferred to another participant without prior written agreement.
If a participant chooses to leave the training after the course has started, no refund will be issued.
The Art of Presence Teacher Training reserves the right to confirm, postpone, or cancel the training no later than 30 days before the start date. This allows sufficient time to meet venue commitments and ensure the financial viability of the course.
If the training is postponed or cancelled by The Art of Presence Teacher Training, participants will be offered either:
• A full refund of all payments made, including deposits; or
• The option to transfer their place to a future training date.
Reasonable notice will be given whenever possible.
Cancellation or Changes by the Trainer
The Art of Presence Teacher Training reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule the training in the event of insufficient enrolment, illness, venue issues, government restrictions, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Reasonable notice will be given whenever possible.
In the event of cancellation by the trainer, participants will be offered:
• A full refund; or
• The option to transfer to a future training date.
Conduct & Professional Behaviour
Participants are expected to behave respectfully towards the trainer, fellow trainees, guest teachers, and venue staff.
This training is intended to create a safe, supportive, and professional learning environment.
Disruptive, inappropriate, discriminatory, unsafe, or unethical behaviour may result in removal from the training without refund.
Participants are expected to uphold professional and ethical standards throughout the duration of the course.
Code of Conduct
Participants agree to:
• Maintain respectful and professional communication
• Respect confidentiality within the group
• Practice within their scope of knowledge and training
• Participate fully and honestly in all practical exercises
• Respect personal boundaries and consent during partner work and teaching practice
• Refrain from behaviour that may harm the learning environment or reputation of the training
Failure to uphold these standards may result in disqualification from the course.
Complaints Procedure
Stage 1 – Informal Discussion
Participants are encouraged to raise concerns directly and informally with the trainer whenever possible.
Stage 2 – Written Complaint
If the issue is not resolved informally, a written complaint may be submitted via email.
Complaints will be acknowledged within 7 working days, and every effort will be made to resolve the matter promptly and fairly.
Stage 3 – Further Review
If additional time is required to investigate the complaint, participants will be informed of the reason and given an estimated timeframe for a full response.
Participants may choose to be supported by a friend, advocate, or interpreter during the complaints process if required.
Intellectual Property
All course materials, manuals, teaching content, recordings, handouts, and resources remain the intellectual property of The Art of Presence Teacher Training.
Course materials may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, recorded, adapted, published, or shared without prior written permission.
Communication
Course communication will take place primarily via email.
Participants are responsible for ensuring their contact details remain up to date throughout the training.
Privacy & GDPR Policy
The Art of Presence Teacher Training is committed to protecting your personal information and handling your data responsibly.
Personal information collected during registration may include:
• Name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Emergency contact details
• Relevant training information
This information will only be used for:
• Course administration
• Communication regarding the training
• Certification purposes
• Professional membership registration where applicable
As a student of this teacher training course, you consent to The Art of Presence Teacher Training passing your contact details (name, email address, and phone number) to Yoga Alliance Professionals.
This allows them to contact you directly regarding trainee membership, insurance, graduate registration, and professional membership opportunities.
You have the right to opt out of this process by informing the trainer in writing.
The Art of Presence Teacher Training will never sell or share your personal information with unrelated third parties.
Reasonable measures are taken to ensure your data remains secure and protected.
